Oh boy, I am not feeling this. The challenge is on! This is the longest I have ever been without actually eating food. I am starting to feel some kinda way.
Day 5 – Thursday Aug 25
Woke up feeling really weak but not hungry. Maybe I should drink the shake in the morning. Or maybe my body may have just used the nutrients because we haven’t had food and was tired after processing it. I am still lying in the bed while I’m writing this but now I really need to get up. I don’t even want to get up, I’m so tired but lets get on with the day.
After getting dressed, Khadijah had already juiced the following ingredients:
- Kale
- Apples
- Key Limes
- SeaMoss (which we bought yesterday)
And a couple of other things which I don’t know because I wasn’t in the kitchen when she fixed it. But this was the first time I have ever tasted sea moss. People have said it tastes like sea water or really salty. But I didn’t taste that. It must be because it was mixed with a lot of other strong fruit and veggie flavors.
One of the crazy things about today is my nose has been running and it has been clear mucus coming out when I blow it. It has been said that mucus is the cause of every other disease, so I am glad it is coming out. I do feel noticeably weaker but I don’t think it equates to the strength that I have, just feeling.
Before going to bed, Khadijah and I, did some band exercises again tonight after drinking a an electric shake smoothie. It was really good, but at this point anything other than water tastes remarkably good.
I really hope this series of blog post helps someone understand some of the things you will go through on a 12 Day Fast. I know some people will experience things either I forgot to document or things that are specific to them based on the state of their current bodily health. Don’t be nervous about fasting, this is a way to reset your body and get on a path to a more healthy lifestyle.
I’m taking myself to bed now. I will see you all in the comments below.
Any questions or comments, make sure you say them below. I read them all.
