Everyone is always looking for new music, so here I am. I consider myself a unofficial music connoisseur. I think I have immaculate taste in music and there is no debate it about. So I’m gonna give you the music that is getting a lot of rotation in my iTunes/Spotify.
WHAT A TIME TO BE ALIVE – FUTURE x DRAKE
I cannot really go into detail about why I love this album so much, but every song makes you feel like you are the boss of your own company and everyone should bow down to you because you are running things. Now be advised that there is explicit language so I recommend the clean version. That is it. All my friends know I am really into Future. I never listened to Future before this album, but now I think I am going to need to go back and check out some old stuff.
DO YOU REMEMBER – JARRYD JAMES
This song is perfection. It puts you into these feelings that you did not know you had. Jarryd’s voice is so airy and light, but emotion filled and soulful. I found this song through a cover and I liked the cover, but wanted to hear the original. Long story short: I love the original MUCH, MUCH, MUCH more. The beat is very Alternative/RnB. I am SO into it.
HOTLINE BLING – DRAKE
Drake, again. Yes. How could you not love Drake? I just do not understand how you cannot love this song. It is insanely catchy with a wonderful hook and beat. Ahh, I am addicted.
SAY IT – TORY LANEZ
This song is everything to me now. It has a sample from Brownstone’s – “If You Love Me” which is a great song, so the fact that he used the song, and gave it justice makes me so happy. No one likes when an artist uses a sample from a song and the song is horrible. I promise you will love the song too. Tory’s voice in this song is also MAD smooth. It gave me the new RnB vibe with a lot of runs and clear words. I am here for it!
FETTY WAP – FETTY WAP
Everyone loves Fetty. EVERYONE. He came out with a totally new sound and everyone loves it because he is so different. There are so many harmonies, melodies, and runs. Literally all he really sings about is love, trapping, and being in love while trapping, but he made it sound so good. It’s insane. My favorites off of this album are: 679 (ft. Monty), Jugg (ft. Monty), Trap Luv, I Wonder, Again, Time (ft. Monty), D.A.M., and Rewind (ft. Monty).
T R A P S O U L – Bryson Tiller
Talking about being smooth though. Bryson Tiller definitely has won the award for that. His beats are the classic RnB. He really has a beautiful voice and his songs definitely put you into your feelings. His songs are relatable and make you want somebody to call your own. This album just came out so it’s constantly on repeat between classes.
These are the songs I am obsessing over currently. Have you heard any of these songs? Do you like them? Which ones are your favorites?
